mouth. Slightly creamy aftertaste, oily mouthfeel and an aroma of nuts and wood that coats the mouth. Nice aging notes. Shifts to root cellar notes and more woodiness in later steeps. Great drinking experience at a great price! Will give me a lot of pleasure in the years to come.

p yet saline. Thickly textured, mouth coating to the point of tackiness, and completely resolved, with residual sweetness that blooms mid session. Notably the floral character is present throughout. Amazingly patient and pretty much old tea perfection. There had been just a whiff of ash processing that had been evident in the early going of my first session, yet the leaves having rested, I didn’t get it in the second session. The obvious question is, is it worth the money, and the answer is yes, the depth and durability of the tea is amazing given its age.

I see that the cake is not dry and it smells majestically. The tea is not very smoky at all, I feel plums and apricots. In the end, it becomes very very sweet. It is really a very good Xiaguan product. I'm enjoying it very much. Thank you, Paolo, for the chance to have it.

grew up with famous factory teas in the Pu world. Nevertheless, I can understand the popularity of the 7542 recipe and I am only just beginning to dig deeper into it. For me, the tea is a good example of a cleanly aged 7542 with a very tasty mixture of old tea taste and the classic 7542 taste still shining through, I have to agree with Paolo here. Where I personally have to disagree is the calming qi of the tea, as I felt it had a lot of overstimulating power, at least in my usual way of brewing it. You definitely have to listen to this tea and take the necessary time, maybe even deviate a little from your usual metrics.

oma/taste that I find very pleasant as well as a mineral note in the finish. Very comfortable qi that is relaxing.
