find for something like four to eight times its price (from approximately .5$/gram to 4$/gram or so, depending on the amount you can buy). It is _strong_, really strong, it goes to the chest (those struggling to put a face to the name 'Qi' really should try this). I have not found a lot of astringency at all, even in long, 100°C steepings. A lot of patience. Warmly recommended.

to the tea finishing firm but contained. Anis character as it develops, and the scent encompasses the polyphenols that adds a further dimension. The textural feel to the tea keeps going past brew 10 whilst bitter elements smooth out late in the session. A tea of considerable complexity and intensity.

his tea, have never had another Gushu Yiwu cake like it, glowing colour and sweet bitter on the palate, extraordinary Qi. I can see it transforming magnificently with age. Bless you for sharing!

mouth. Slightly creamy aftertaste, oily mouthfeel and an aroma of nuts and wood that coats the mouth. Nice aging notes. Shifts to root cellar notes and more woodiness in later steeps. Great drinking experience at a great price! Will give me a lot of pleasure in the years to come.

tness too. It’s quite unlike shou I’ve (inadvertently!) had in the past with the exception of how the wet leaves look in the pot - very dark, ‘dry’ and don’t hydrate as sheng leaves do. Otherwise you wouldn’t know it wasn’t old sheng! In fact the tea pours crystal clear, mid to dark amber. You can brew it hard and it doesn’t muddy, with better than expected durability.
