“Lao Ban Zhang (LBZ), the king of Bulang, Menghai County, Xishuangbanna, with an altitude of approximately 1,750 meters. The liquid of this special variety has a slightly bitter taste but is rich in pectin, giving it a sweet, mellow flavor and a strong aftertaste, hence the phrase, “Ban Zhang is King”. This is the true ancient tree LBZ puerh, featuring a much smoother and sweeter profile than what is commonly thought of LBZ taste, reference taste for real LBZ ancient tree Pu’er.“
