2012 Baifu Bingdao

• Old tree Bingdao
• Sweet, flavourful, good huigan
• Well aged but clean natural/dry taiwanese storage
• Strong Qi

With a pleasant hint of smoke, the youthful floral notes have transformed into a very complex and evolving brew still rich on top notes. Has a very good splash on the palate when drinking, but not the thickest soup. Qi is high quality, not just strong.

I’ve tried and rejected many bingdao “old” and “ancient tree” over the years (some at over $1000) and this is one of the only few which has passed the quality and quality/pricing test.

~357g cakes, minimal weight loss over the years. Also available as open cake (300g or more, opened from the back cleanly)
