A pretty famous cake that can be found a lot in Taiwan, however this one I’ve selected has good clean storage, somewhere between dry and natural (a lot of factory tea with taiwanese storage pre-2003 can be too humid, this one is definitely clean)
Pretty good material for a factory cake (feels like there’s a lot of big tree and perhaps even a touch of old tree), this is possible because in 2002 there really wasn’t that much demand for Mengku tea. DaYi cakes of the same age and price band would have 90% young bush plantation material, so this cake comes out much better in comparison.
With traditional processing, it delivers both classic old tea taste (without storage flavours) and a corresponding calming Qi, at a very moderate price for what it is.

The Dayi analogy is definitely accurate here. Natural aging but not swamped. Dayi of this age is unaccessable, so the price/value proposition is great.

This is my favorite from the “Premium tea, great price” selection and the cake I reach to the most. It has a very clean taste from the storage and also a very nice spicy incense aroma/taste that I find very pleasant as well as a mineral note in the finish. Very comfortable qi that is relaxing.
