I don’t like 90s and younger Liu Bao – Despite trying a lot I never found a good one, they all are either still too green if they’re sheng/raw liu bao or have too much fermentation flavour (wodui) if they’re more shou/cooked liu bao.
Except this one! This is by far the best 90s Liu Bao I ever had (and probably on the planet) – and indeed it’s a very special production (Super grade) from the best Liu Bao Factory (WuZhou ZhongCha selling with the Duotelli brand).
So much Liu Bao is very meh (either too light, too harsh or not clean enough), including most 70s and 80s (or supposedly 70s and 80s… Liu Bao also has a big fake problem). But this is really a joy to drink – splashes high in the palate, leaves a clean salivation feeling, good aftertaste and refined brew.
It even has some really nice calming Qi to it! If you can only drink one tea per day, this is one you can likely also have, it’s really smooth and easy on the body. Very drinkable now and will age really greatly thanks to its superior leaf material.
Please contact us for larger quantities for aging (we recommend buying 10+ boxes, we can also keep it in Malaysia for you for a while). This tea has never been stored in Hong Kong or in a wet way and it’s extremely clean.
250g boxes, minimal weight loss over the years because of aging. Note that the S sticker was affixed later when it was exported to Malaysia.
