1990s Boutique Shou

Much like liu bao, we generally don’t drink any shou from the 90s-2000s… but this is an exception, the base material is really excellent and the tea feels extremely clean.

What do we know about this tea? It was commissioned by a friend of our source as a ‘best of quality’ shou, it might contain old tree leaves but certainly the leaf standard is very high, this is the best 90s shou we ever tried.  The price could’ve been much higher, but our source held this since the early 2000s.

A refined, deep shou that is both dark and clean and with a strong calming Qi to match. This will satisfy some old sheng puerh drinkers as well because of its cleanliness. It’s also really patient (goes on for many steeps).
