Our project
We sold well over £300k of ancient tree puerh and old tea last year, helping hundreds of people have a bit more space, creativity and peace of mind in their lives.
With over 10 years of experience, tea warehouses in Taiwan, Malaysia and UK (with over £1 million worth of stock), we have the necessary knowledge and reliability to run a live space in Brighton, in the right partner‘s home.
Proposal
The ideal would be a high visibility (including from the street) part of reception area. Outside signboard or signage in the window can be used in addition or instead of direct visibility.
The space required can be as small as 6-10 square meters (a tea master chair, a skinny long table, 2-3 seats that can be tucked below, and shelves for stock behind/nearby). Minimum storage space for stock. Very elegant looking (antique or wooden furniture, handmade teaware, etc).
The “tea master table” would be very synergetic and bring more customers to your studio. This type of tea goes really well with wellness, stillness and creativity activities.
The space could be used only for a few days a week, the rest of the time it can have an alternative use. (optional)
We offer a significant fixed monthly rental amount and revenue share on sales (especially if made while we’re not there). We estimate this could easily be in the £1k/month range for a smaller space, and the £2k+ range for a larger space.
Workshops and retreats can also of course be part of our strategy. “Tea and x” (yoga, qi gong, creative writing, meditation…) workshops tend to do really well.
We can be very flexible, if what you have in mind looks really different, please ask, we’re keen to discuss very different plans too. To be clear one of our main requirements is exposure, not just needing space: we have a beautiful tea room in our house already where we could do tea ceremonies, but what we really need is for people that are aligned with this type of lifestyle to see us.
